Crossing the street is dangerous enough. Doing in the middle of a busy highway illegally is another thing. Then, just walking in front of traffic? Totally idiotic. I was going 50 (its a 45 zone right before it drops at the end) and had to slow to about 15-20 and nearly get rear ended by the truck behind me. And he gives me the dirty looks...At least hustle a bit!

People around here do this crap all the time. They just slowly stroll out and expect you to stop. I overheard someone once while I was walking down the sidewalk say “well, if they hit me I’ll sue” just before jay walking on a busy street. I guess they're too dumb to know if you cause an accident you don't get the right to sue.

Something like that actually happened by me at night. Guy was wearing all black and got hit. Police charged the jaywalker with everything and the driver was innocent.
